 The Algorithm & The Print

Every print you order from us is unique. That is because we've created an algorithm that generates a new version of a classical masterpiece each time the algorithm is run.

The algorithm is based on a technique called pixel sorting, where pixels of the original image are rearranged, usually ordered by brightness. It is one of the methods that is frequently used in glitch art.

The algorithm is only run once every month. And each month a different image is chosen to be 'this-arrayed'.  The result is a set of 4 glitch artworks. The set consists of the directions in which the pixel sorting is applied; UP, DOWN, LEFT & RIGHT.

Due to several randomization aspects in the algorithm, such as; stroke width, stroke length, and stroke position, each print is guaranteed to be unique. And only one print of each direction is available for purchase.

Once your order is placed we contact our fine art printer in the Netherlands to have the image printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Ultra Smooth paper and carefully packaged for shipment.

Depending on your location in the world it will take up to one to three weeks before you will receive your print. We will keep you up to date of every step.
